Cookie policy

You decide whether to allow analytics. Optional tracking stays off until you accept it.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website may store on your device. We also use browser local storage to retain your privacy choice. Some technologies are necessary; others are enabled only with your consent.

2. Categories

Necessary

cenote_scout_cookie_consent — stores whether you accepted or rejected optional categories, the consent version and the decision date. It is retained in a cookie and local storage for up to 180 days. It cannot be disabled in the panel because it prevents us from asking on every visit.

Analytics — optional

Google Analytics (G-09SNG5Y597) measures viewed pages, usage events, approximate location, and technical browser or device data. Google Tag Manager (GTM-NSRFZG45) manages tags but does not load before your consent. Google Analytics may create _ga and _ga_<identifier>, first-party cookies with a default duration of up to 2 years, subject to configuration and browser limits.

Marketing — optional

Cenote Scout does not currently use Meta Pixel or other marketing tags. If such a tool is configured in the future, this policy and the preference panel will be updated before it is enabled.

Current status

Google Analytics uses measurement ID G-09SNG5Y597 and Google Tag Manager uses container GTM-NSRFZG45. Both require prior consent. Meta Pixel is not configured yet and remains inactive.

3. How to change your choice

You may open the panel at any time using the button below or “Cookie preferences” in the footer. If you withdraw consent, we block new measurement and remove known cookies that we can control from this domain.

4. Providers and contact

Google may process data in other countries under its own policies when you enable Analytics. We apply prior consent and available minimisation controls. You can read the Google Privacy Policy and Google’s official information about data collected by Google Analytics.

This policy reflects the current technical configuration. The controller’s identity and address still need to be completed and professionally validated.

You can change this choice at any time from the website footer.
